PhAMAS Meeting to Highlight Healthcare Sector

The Philadelphia Area Municipal Analyst Society will explore how the city’s academic medical centers can adapt to stay ahead of a rapidly evolving healthcare environment at the organization’s meeting next week.

Herbert P. White, assistant vice president at Temple Health, and Dr. Daniel Quirk from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital will speak at the April 14 event entitled “Philadelphia Academic Medical Centers: Transforming from Volume to Value.” The presentation is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. at the law offices of Cozen O’Connor on 1650 Market Street, Philadelphia.

“Next week’s PhAMAS panel provides insight on strategies these organizations are employing to thrive in a complex and evolving market,” said Karleen Strayer, a tax-exempt bond analyst at Wilmington Trust and a PhAMAS member. “Our panel provides the perspective of two individuals in the trenches. Dr. Daniel Quirk of Jefferson and Mr. Herb White from Temple experience daily the challenges of a sector and market undergoing intense change.”

The meeting is free for members and $20 for non-members.
