"There's no other business where you can see the direct results of your efforts," Maher said.

"I was in India doing U.S. public finance ratings and I found it super interesting," recalls Patel. "At S&P, they had different divisions and they put in a muni finance position. I fell in love."

"Today, we have a lot of innovative deals in the pipeline. Green initiatives and ESG-focused projects are on our plate now. It's exciting to think about where things will go to bring about a more sustainable future for everyone," Pearson-Farrer said.

"From all my work in the sector, I realized just how archaic technology in public finance was. We were using old tools," said Silva.

"What's great about the industry is there is always more to learn," Sobel said.

"My father would talk about all the projects he was working on and the impact they were having. I was always very interested," said Traudt.

"I think that diversity of experiences, of backgrounds, of cultures really does enhance teams," said Ashlee Gabrysch.

"As a parent and somebody who grew up in K-12 public schools I think it's important for kids to have an opportunity to have a good education," said Mattie Prodanovic.

"One of the things that my parents said to me early on in my life is, 'If you have the will to do something, you can make it happen,'" Prachi Chandhok said.
