LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Las Cruces city councilors on Monday turned down a proposal to send a three-project, $10 million package of General Obligation bonds to voters in a November election.

The Austin, Texas, school board early Tuesday morning approved 40 bond projects totaling $990 million, but delayed the actual vote for calling for a November bond election until next week.

CAMDEN, Maine -- Voters here and in the neighboring town of Rockport overwhelmingly approved Tuesday a $25.2 million bond to construct a new middle school for the two towns' middle school students.

With extremely low voter turnout, Tuesday's statewide referendum to approve a $50 million bond to promote jobs and innovation passed overwhelmingly in Maine's largest communities.

McFarland, Calif., schools are in a conundrum.

NEWMARKET, N.H. -- An assistant attorney general has found the Newmarket School District in violation of electioneering laws in relation to the $38.9 million bond approved by voters in March to renovate the Junior-Senior High School. The complainant said he is "undecided" on whether he will take further action regarding the vote.

May 10--Voters in the Andover school district on Tuesday approved two bond issues that will pump more than $188 million worth of projects into the district.

WARDEN, Wash. -- A proposed $14 million school bond for this tiny school district at the southeastern edge of Grant County failed to obtain the necessary 60 percent for approval.
