Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its underlying rating to A from A-minus on Yuma County Elementary School District No. 1, Ariz.'s general obligation bonds outstanding.
The outlook is stable.
"The raised rating reflects our view of the district's good income levels despite high unemployment, the stabilizing presence of the military, and the district's track record of maintaining financial flexibility under state law," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Sarah Sullivant.
