WASHINGTON — Sales of merchant wholesalers were up 0.6% to $407.9 billion in November, following a revised 0.8% gain in October, while inventories were up 0.1% to $468.9 billion, the Commerce Department reported Tuesday.
The 0.6% gain in sales matched the 0.6% increase projected by economists polled by Thomson Reuters.
Inventories posted a revised 1.2% gain in October. Economists had expected a 0.4% increase.
