The federal government ran a $136.7 billion deficit in November, the Treasury Department reported Monday.
The November deficit was larger than the median $135.0 billion deficit predicted by economists polled by Thomson Reuters.
Outlays in November totaled $336.526 billion. Receipts totaled $199.875 billion.
In November 2015, the government ran a $64.5 billion deficit.
For the fiscal year to date, the government has a $180.843 billion deficit, compared to a $201.107 billion deficit for the similar period on fiscal 2016.
