NEW YORK - The Treasury Department said Monday it will sell $40 billion of four-week discount bills Tuesday.
There are currently $82.002 billion of four-week bills outstanding.
The bills settle March 24 and are due April 21.
Federal Reserve banks hold $6.285 billion in maturing bills in their own accounts.
