NEW YORK - The Treasury Department said Monday it will sell $40 billion of four-week discount bills Tuesday.
There are currently $60.012 billion of four-week bills outstanding.
The bills settle April 14 and are due May 12.
Federal Reserve banks hold $3.782 billion in maturing bills in their own accounts.
Market support for taxables, particularly those from active issuers, remains firm. Taxables are seeing gains of 1.08% year-to-date, or 50 basis points above a UST index gain, said Kim Olsan, senior fixed income portfolio manager at NewSquare Capital.
