The Treasury Department said it will auction $21 billion 9-year, 11-month 2¾% notes on Dec. 11.
The notes settle Dec. 16 and are due Nov. 15, 2023.
"We are optimistic that rates may normalize by the time the bonds price next week," said Maliha Ahsan, spokesperson for the Office of the State Treasurer.
The step is part of a larger effort to attract financial firms to St. Croix.
