Treasury to Sell $16B 30 Yrs, $24B 10 Yrs, $24B 3 Yrs

The Treasury Department announced details of its quarterly refunding, with plans to sell $16 billion 30-year bonds on May 14, $24 billion 10-year notes on May 13, and $24 billion 3-year notes on May 12.

All issues are dated May 15. The 30 years are due May 15, 2045, the 10 years May 15, 2025, and the 3 years May 15, 2018.

On Monday, Treasury estimated it will borrow $59 billion in the second quarter of 2015 and end with a $260 billion cash balance, as opposed to its earlier estimate of a $7 billion paydown in the quarter, with a $150 billion cash balance on June 30.
