The Treasury Department Thursday sold $9 billion of inflation-indexed 30-year bonds at an 0.842% yield, an adjusted price of 97.329701, with a 3/4% coupon.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.43.
All competitive tenders at yields lower than the high yield were accepted in full. Tenders at the market-clearing yield were allotted 30.83%.
The bonds are have an issue date of Feb. 27, a dated date of Feb. 15 and are due Feb. 15, 2045.
Among competitive tenders, the median yield was 0.779% and the low yield 0.650%, Treasury said.
Tenders totaled $21,846,606,700 of which the Treasury accepted $9,000,002,100. Noncompetitive tenders totaled $16,890,700. The Federal Reserve Banks bought nothing for their own accounts.
