Treasury 5-Year TIPs Go at 0.120% High Yield

The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $14 billion of five-year inflation-indexed notes with a 0.125% coupon, a 0.120% high yield, an adjusted price of 102.005809.

The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.68.

Tenders at the high yield were allotted 29.80%. All competitive tenders at lower yields were accepted in full.

The median yield was 0.050%. The low yield was zero.

Tenders totaled $37,585,519,600 and the Treasury accepted $14,000,047,700 including $37,479,600 non-competitive.

The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account.

The notes, which have an issue date of Dec. 30, are dated Oct. 15, and will mature April 15, 2021.
