The Treasury Department auctioned $34 billion of five-year notes, with a 1 7/8% coupon, a 1.988% high yield, a price of 99.464699.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.38.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 33.36%. All competitive tenders at lower yields were accepted in full.
The median yield was 1.924%. The low yield was 1.845%.
Tenders totaled $80,935,881,200 and the Treasury accepted $34,000,063,600 including $44,555,200 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought $2,156,087,400 for their own account.
The notes, which are dated Jan. 31, will mature Jan. 31, 2022.
