The Treasury Department auctioned $34 billion of five-year notes, with a 1 1/4% coupon, a 1.335% high yield, a price of 99.590195.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.38.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 28.08%. All competitive tenders at lower yields were accepted in full.
The median yield was 1.270%. The low yield was 1.200%.
Tenders totaled $80,793,545,600 and the Treasury accepted $34,000,040,000 including $56,473,600 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought $8,100,646,500 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The notes, which are dated Feb. 29, will mature Feb. 28, 2021.
