The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $55 billion of four-week bills at a 0.490% high yield, a price of 99.961889.
The coupon equivalent was 0.497%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 3.01.
Tenders at the high rate were allotted 61.79%. The median rate was 0.460%. The low rate was 0.440%.
The bills have an issue date of Dec. 22 and are due Jan. 19, 2017.
Tenders totaled $165,455,427,900 and the Treasury accepted $55,000,177,900, including $277,413,200 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account.
