The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $13 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 3 3/8% coupon at a 3.444% high yield, a price of 98.713795.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.69.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 75.40%.
The median yield was 3.424%. The low yield was 3.370%.
Tenders totaled $34,996,451,400 and the Treasury accepted $13,000,001,400 including $7,876,400 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated May 15, will mature May 15, 2044.
