The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $13 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 3 1/8% coupon at a 3.240% high yield, a price of 97.804086.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.67.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 99.42%.
The median yield was 3.222%. The low yield was 3.150%.
Tenders totaled $34,669,295,200 and the Treasury accepted $13,000,061,200 including $8,260,200 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Aug. 15, will mature Aug. 15, 2044.
