The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $12 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 3% coupon at a 3.170% high yield, a price of 96.726650.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.34.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 3.27%.
The median yield was 3.120%. The low yield was 3.000%.
Tenders totaled $28,045,070,700 and the Treasury accepted $12,000,003,100 including $6,284,700 non-competitive.
The Fed banks purchased nothing for their own account.
The bonds dated Feb. 15, will mature Feb. 15, 2047.
