The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $16 billion of 30-year bonds with a 3% coupon at a 3.044% high yield, a price of 99.138514.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.20.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 65.15%.
The median yield was 2.980%. The low yield was 2.900%.
Tenders totaled $35,189,173,700 and the Treasury accepted $16,000,018,700 including $13,923,700 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought $361,879,100 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated May 15, will mature May 15, 2045.
