The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $15 billion of 30-year bonds with a 3% coupon at a 3.005% high yield, a price of 99.901613.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.25.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 23.53%.
The median yield was 2.944%. The low yield was 2.888%.
Tenders totaled $33,733,999,700 and the Treasury accepted $15,000,000,200 including $4,500,700 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also purchased $1,731,907,900 for their own account.
The bonds dated Feb. 15, will mature Feb. 15, 2047.
