The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $12 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 2.50% coupon at a 2.720% high yield, a price of 95.513533.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.33.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 1.47%.
The median yield was 2.675%. The low yield was 2.592%.
Tenders totaled $27,926,899,500 and the Treasury accepted $12,000,000,100 including $3,789,500 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Feb. 15, will mature Feb. 15, 2046.
