The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $12 billion of 29-year 10-month bonds with a 2.50% coupon at a 2.596% high yield, a price of 98.011430.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.40.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 81.30%.
The median yield was 2.560%. The low yield was 2.388%.
Tenders totaled $28,826,337,500 and the Treasury accepted $12,000,003,500 including $12,487,500 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought $84,447,600 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Feb. 15, will mature Feb. 15, 2046.
