The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $15 billion of 30-year bonds with a 2.50% coupon at a 2.500% high yield, a price of 99.999916.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.09.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 37.52%.
The median yield was 2.391%. The low yield was 2.300%.
Tenders totaled $31,382,213,100 and the Treasury accepted $15,000,024,300 including $16,443,100 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought $1,177,806,200 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Feb. 15, will mature Feb. 15, 2046.
