The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $24 billion of three-year notes with a 1 3/8% coupon at a 1.423% high yield, a price of 99.859519.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.78.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 13.03%. All competitive tenders at lower yields were accepted in full.
The median yield was 1.360%. The low yield was 1.188%.
Tenders totaled $66,779,458,100 and the Treasury accepted $24,000,062,100, including $50,458,100 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought $2,771,052,800 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The notes, dated Feb. 15, will mature Feb. 15, 2020.
