Deutsche Bank yesterday announced that its department of corporate trust and agency services has hired Steven Eason and Michael Weber as part of an initiative to expand its municipal trustee business.
The bank announced its plans to open regional corporate trust offices across the United States to keep pace with the expanding client base in the municipal market. The first of these new offices will be located in Charlotte, N.C.
This expansion will be led by Eason, who has 14 years of experience in corporate trust, most recently with First Union/Wachovia.
Eason will report to Howard Topf, managing director and head of global debt services within the bank's department of corporate trust unit.
"Our corporate trust business distinguishes itself by building long-term relationships through excellent customer service, and regional expansion strengthens our ability to service municipal clients," Topf said in a prepared statement.
Weber, who also worked for First Union/Wachovia, will be a senior member under Eason, responsible for marketing and development.
