Telemarketer to Create 500 Jobs in Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico's government announced a joint venture expected to create 500 jobs in Puerto Rico in the next three years.

InfoCision, based on the United States mainland, and LinkActive, a subsidiary of Grupo Ferre Ranzel, are joining to create CommSense Aguadilla in Puerto Rico, according to a person who works for Puerto Rico Gov. Alejandro García Padilla and a spokeswoman for InfoCision.

CommSense Aguadilla will provide telemarketing services to Hispanics located in the United States, according to a statement from the governor's office.

The center will include communications through emails and social networking, as well as phones.

The center will initially have 300 employees in Aguadilla, which is on the northwest coast of Puerto Rico. The companies have committed to creating an additional 200 jobs in the next three years, according to the statement. The companies are investing $5.1 million in the venture.
