Stifel Hires Quinn, Hoffert for New Philadelphia Office

Stifel hired fixed income veterans Mark Quinn and Christopher Hoffert to open the company's office in Philadelphia in a strategy to expand its Mid-Atlantic public finance coverage.

"Stifel is excited to have Mark and Chris join our Public Finance Department and to open an office for us in Philadelphia," Peter Czajkowski, director of public finance, said in a press release Tuesday. "Their expertise, combined with Stifel's extensive distribution network, will allow us broaden our capabilities and expand our Mid-Atlantic public finance coverage."

Quinn, who has been named as a managing director, has more than 20 years of fixed income experience, with 18 years of those in the public finance sector. He comes to Stifel from PNC Capital Markets where he worked for nine years and was most recently a managing director there.

He has provided underwriting services to issuers in the Mid-Atlantic region and been a lead banker for many issuers throughout the region. The firm said that he will continue to hone in on the Mid-Atlantic area with a focus on governmental issuers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Hoffert, who has been named as a director, will work with state and local government issuers in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. He has over 12 years of public finance transactional and quantitative investment banking expertise and has worked with a variety of issuers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Stifel, he was a director for PNC Capital Markets, where he worked for the past nine years.
