Squire Sanders Adds S.F. Partner

SAN FRANCISCO — Squire Sanders said it has hired public finance attorney Robyn Helmlinger as a partner in San Francisco.

Helmlinger, formerly with Sidley

Austin LLP, has a background as bond, disclosure and underwriters’ counsel in the health care and school finance sectors.

Her financing deals have included Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Kaiser Foundation hospitals, the Los Angeles Unified School District and San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum.

Squire Sanders said in a statement the addition of Helmlinger is part of an expansion of its 60-lawyer public finance practice in California and nationally.

Squire Sanders is an international law firm with 36 offices in 17 countries.

In 2011, Squire Sanders, formerly Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP, ranked fourth among bond counsel after handling 195 bond issues worth $11.6 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.
