Jeffrey M. Mahoney has joined Siebert Brandford Shank & Co. as Managing Director in institutional sales, the firm announced on Monday. Mahoney will be working out of SBSCO's New York office on Wall Street.

Mahoney is a 30-year veteran of the municipal bond industry with a wide array of experience and leadership ability.

"Jeff has been both a respected competitor and teammate of mine for over 30 years," Sean Duffy, an SBSCO partner and the head of Institutional Sales, said in a press release. "Jeffrey brings to us outstanding relationships with his customer base and has been a top producing salesman in our industry for the past decade-plus."

Mahoney was most recently Executive Director of Municipal Securities at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, he was a Director of Municipal Securities Sales at Citigroup, as well as a partner at William E. Simon & Sons, where he was a municipal securities trader and a part of the institutional sales team. He started his career as a trader at L.F. Rothschild and then moved on to Dean Witter.

"Working with Sean and the excellent sales team here at Siebert, I look forward to helping the firm continue to expand and grow its institutional sales business," Mahoney said in the release. "As a longtime salesman in the industry, I have always been impressed with Siebert's performance and I know the sky's the limit for what we can achieve for our clients."

Siebert Brandford Shank was co-founded in 1996 by Suzanne Shank, who is now majority owner of the firm, and the late Muriel Siebert, who was the first woman to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange. It is the nation's only majority woman-, African-American-, and Latino-owned investment banking firm.

With dual headquarters in New York and Oakland, SBSCO has 17 offices in the United States, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Sacramento, San Antonio, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, D.C.
