CHICAGO — Suzanne Shank, president and CEO of Siebert Brandford Shank & Co. LLC, has been named to a national panel dedicated to boosting private investment in infrastructure.

Detroit-based Shank is one of eight members on the newly created Executive Council on Infrastructure convened by the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C.

Other members include a representative from the California State Teachers' Retirement System, McGraw Hill Financial, and KPMG LLP. The group will meet over the next year and craft recommendations on how to bring additional private sector investment into infrastructure, the policy center said in a press release. Shank told Crain's Detroit Business that she hopes to hold one of the meetings in Detroit.

"Any serious answer to solving the issue of America's aging infrastructure should include state and local governments working with the private sector in innovative ways," Shank said in the press release.
