Rostow Leaves NABL for Real Estate Investment Trust Group

WASHINGTON — Victoria P. “Penny” Rostow has left the National Association of Bond Lawyers as its director of governmental affairs to join another group.

Rostow, who left NABL on Wednesday, said she is joining the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts as its senior vice president for policy and regulation.

She had been with NABL since January 2009.

Rostow’s departure comes after Sean Gard left the group as deputy director of governmental affairs earlier last month to go to Capitol Hill.

Gard has become legislative counsel to Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., who sits on the House Budget Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. He had been with NABL since 2005.

NABL president Kristin Franceschi, a partner at DLA Piper in Baltimore, said the group is working to replacing them. NABL’s main office is now in Washington, DC, having earlier been based in Chicago.
