Rick was born on July 2, 1950 and grew up in Creskill, N.J., and raised his children in Greenwich, Conn. He is survived by his two children, Rick Bellinger, Jr. of Denver, Colo., and Kimberly Bellinger of New York City.

Bellinger worked at Lehman Brothers for more than 30 years and reached the level of Senior Managing Director at the firm. He was an accomplished municipal bond broker who was well known for his fairness and his integrity.

For those who had the pleasure of knowing him, Bellinger was a kind and caring man, his son said.

"He loved backgammon, train collecting, poolside lounging, fireworks, eating for reasons other than hunger, and was like a long-lost Wright Brother when it came to flying kites. Rick's infamy for bankrupting buffets is only trumped by the legacy of his generous spirit," his son said. "He was a thoughtful man that selflessly helped those around him, often at his own expense."

Bellinger's friends, family, and co-workers remember his magnanimous personality and are invited to a celebration of his life on Friday, Sept, 18 at 4 p.m. at the Gallagher Funeral Home in Greenwich, Conn., where the wake will be held.

The funeral service will take place at Saint Mary's Church in Greenwich on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m., to be followed immediately by a burial service at Putnam Cemetery.
