Raymond James Adds Banker Matt Palumbo

BRADENTON, Fla. — Raymond James has hired public finance banker Matt Palumbo to work with the firm's mid-Atlantic team in Richmond, Va.

Palumbo most recently spent eight years at BB&T Capital Markets.

At Raymond James, he is covering Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and Delaware, supporting the national airport and general government practices, according to Ron Tillet, managing director and head of the mid-Atlantic public finance practice.

"Matt's experience and passion for finance is a great addition to our mid-Atlantic team as we continue to grow to serve our clients in new ways," Tillet said. "Having spent his entire career in Richmond, he knows the region very well and has a strong track record of success here."

Palumbo has 10 years of public finance experience across multiple sectors.

Prior to working at BB&T, he was an investment banking analyst at Davenport & Co. LLC, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver and a master's degree in international finance from SKEMA Business School in Sophia Antipolis, France.

In 2014, Raymond James was ranked ninth in the nation as senior manager on negotiated offerings valued at $10.46 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.

Raymond James Financial Inc., headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., said it has more than 180 public finance professionals in 27 locations nationwide.
