PNC Bank has added two members to its public finance team, seeking to continue its expansion efforts.
Vincent Pietanza joined PNC's municipal trading desk, and Lindsay Evans will focus on the firm's relationships with Texas governmental issuers. Both will be managing directors.
Pietanza joins PNC from UBS Financial Services, where he was head of competitive underwriting. He has almost two decades of public finance and underwriting experience, according to a press release from the firm.
"I was very impressed with the growth rate of PNC in public finance and secondary trading, and the seasoned team and management they have in place," Pietanza said. "And I like the vision for the future of the department."
Pietanza, who is based in New York, will focus on "expanding the firm's competitive underwriting efforts nationwide, supporting issuer financing needs and enhancing engagement with institutional investors," the release said.
"I will be bidding competitive deals across the country, both to support our public finance clients and also for our salesforce and institutional clients," Pietanza said.
Evans joined PNC in mid-July from BOK Financial. She brings two decades of public finance experience, according to the press release.
Evans, who is based in Dallas, said she wanted to join the firm after conversations with

According to PNC's press release, "Evans will work closely with PNC's Texas public finance team to expand bond origination activities and deliver financing solutions to issuers throughout the region."
Evans will work on capital markets underwriting for governmental issuers, she said.
"I know we'll be working with Vincent on competitive targets that we have with Texas municipalities," Evans said. "I think it's a great growth market that we are in, and a fantastic opportunity."
