Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term rating to AA-plus from AA on Piedmont Unified School District, Calif.'s general obligation debt.
In addition, Standard & Poor's assigned its AA-plus rating to the district's series 2015 GO refunding bonds. The outlook is stable.
"The raised rating reflects our view of the district's local tax base growth and the maintenance of strong reserve levels," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Jaime Trejo. "The raised rating is further supported by our view of the district's historically stable enrollment levels."
The district is located in Alameda County and provides kindergarten through 12th grade educational services to residents located within Piedmont.
