Philly Fed December Index Revised to 6.4

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia revised the December general business conditions index to 6.4 from 7.0 as a result of its annual seasonal adjustment factor calculations.

"Because survey responses are characterized by seasonal patterns, new seasonal factors are calculated annually based on the addition of a complete year of data," the Fed said in a release.

The future general conditions index was raised to 44.8 from 44.0.
