The region's non-manufacturing sector "activity continued to expand in February," although the general business conditions index fell to 29.3 from 37.7 in January, this month's Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Report on Business, released Tuesday, indicates.
At the company level, the general business activity index rose to 38.0 from 33.3.
The prices paid index was 15.3, down from 29.5 last month, new orders index declined to 25.1 from 28.9, sales or revenues slid to 32.5 from 43.5, the unfilled orders index dropped to negative 0.4 from positive 8.9, the inventories index slipped to 5.7 from 10.4, prices received slumped to negative 1.3 from positive 22.1, the number of full time employees index decreased to 12.4 from 19.5, and the average employee workweek fell to 12.6 from 32.6.
The six months from now regional general business conditions index dropped to 48.4 from 70.6, while the company general business conditions index fell to 57.5 from 68.3.
