About 4,700,900 online job postings appeared on leading internet job boards in November, an increase of 137,100 from October, the Conference Board reported Wednesday.
In the U.S. there were 1.14 ads per 100 people, down from 1.21 in October.
“The October Supply/Demand rate stands at 1.43 unemployed for each advertised vacancy, with a total of 2.0 million more unemployed workers than the number of advertised vacancies. The number of unemployed was approximately 6.5 million in October.,” the Conference Board said in a release. “The number of unemployed was approximately 7.1 million in August.”
