About 4,930,700 online job postings appeared on leading internet job boards in December, an increase of 229,700 from November, the Conference Board reported Wednesday.
“The November Supply/Demand rate stands at 1.41 unemployed for each advertised vacancy, with a total of 1.9 million more unemployed workers than the number of advertised vacancies,” the Conference Board said in a release. “The number of unemployed was approximately 6.6 million in November.”
“In December, online labor demand grew in 48 states, declined in one state, and was constant in one state,” the release said. “All four regions experienced increases.”
