NORTH CAROLINA: Medical Appointment

Chris Taylor has been appointed assistant secretary of the North Carolina Medical Care Commission.

Taylor was previously the financial adviser to the commission, which serves as the conduit for most of the bond deals by health care facilities in the state.

In his new role Taylor will be responsible for several areas of the commission's affairs, including financial and operational auditing, compliance and evaluating projects during the financing process.

Taylor is a certified public accountant and a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College. He served as a senior internal auditor for the commission from 1979 until 1983. He was appointed financial adviser in 1987.

One of the commission's recent issues was a $322 million refunding for Duke University Health System. (c) 2005 The Bond Buyer and SourceMedia, Inc. All rights reserved. http://www.bondbuyer.com http://www.sourcemedia.com
