The National Association of State Treasurers is holding an issue conference on “Public Funds Management” in New York City from Dec. 3 to Dec. 5.
“States continue to face a variety of fiscal challenges, including lean budgets, reduced federal assistance and turbulent financial markets,” NAST said. “The conference will provide public finance officials with the tools they need to successfully manage state funds, while avoiding the pitfalls of a turbulent economy.”
National experts in the financial services industry and government will provide thoughtful commentary and information on issues of critical importance to state governments throughout the country.
Some of the topics the sessions wil examine include: Are We Disclosing All We Can as Issuers?; Trends in Asset Allocation; Rating Agencies; Public Funds Governance Trends; and Options in Investment Management Structure.
