Name Change for FA Firm

NSB Public Finance, a Nevada public financial advisory firm, officially changed its name to Zions Bank Public Finance on Tuesday.

The firm, owned by Zions First National Bank, made the change for marketing and continuity reasons, according to Andrew Artusa, managing director of Zions Bank Public Finance in Nevada.

The Boston and Utah divisions of Zions First National Bank carry the same name, Artusa said.

“This keeps our name more closely tied to our broker-dealer, which is Zions, and it is how we are registered with the [Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board],” he said.

Artusa said he had already put the word out to his clients, so he hasn’t been fielding questions about larger changes to the business.

Prior to the change, he said the name was NSB Public Finance, a division of Zions First National Finance, which involved a detailed and wordy explanation each time.
