Muni Mutual Funds Report $99.48 Million in Inflows

Municipal mutual funds reported inflows slowed to $99.48 million in the week ended March 5 from $247 million of inflows the week before.

Assets of all weekly reporting municipal funds increased to $281.69 billion from $280.12 billion, Lipper FMI reported.

The four-week moving average inflow increased to $187.16 million from $105.47 million.

Long-term municipal mutual funds that report their flows weekly had an outflow of $236.79 million following an inflow of $505.72 million the previous week.

Those assets inched up to $150.7 billion after ending at $149.65 billion the week before. The four-week moving average of the long-term fund improved to an inflow of $693.56 million from $588.3 million the week before.

Inflows to high-yield mutual funds rose to $158.36 million from the previous week's $154.68 million. Assets rose to $387.15 billion, up from $381.88 billion, while the four-week moving average inflow spiked to $179.75 million from $164.18 million.
