Morgan Stanley managing director Patrick Haskell has been appointed a head of the institutional municipal business, the company announced this week. Haskell will oversee public finance and sales and trading in his new role.

In his four years at Morgan Stanley, Haskell has run various parts of the firm’s interest rate business, most recently as the head of liquid rates products in North America. In that position Haskell worked with U.S. government bonds, agency debentures, mortgage-backed securities and interest rates swaps.
