WASHINGTON — Municipal Market Advisors is now Municipal Market Analytics, the research and analysis firm announced Friday.
"The firm will remain known to the industry as MMA," president and founder Thomas Doe said in an email. "The change in the company represents reorganization and rebranding to more clearly articulate the focus of the firm and to reassert MMA's independent position as a research firm."
The Concord, Mass.-based firm has been around since 1995 and is a leading source of muni market analysis and commentary that has been called on for testimony at congressional hearings exploring muni market structure and infrastructure finance. The firm does not execute transactions, advise issuers on specific transactions, or manage investments.
"The leadership and personnel of MMA remain the same," Doe continued. "Publications, bank credit services and consulting engagements are unchanged. The corporate reorganization does not interrupt or alter MMA's activities in 2015. E-mail and phone numbers of MMA professionals will remain unchanged and the website will gradually evolve to a more efficient and useful tool to access MMA's 20 years of archived research and data. The New Year represents an exciting new era for MMA."
