The seasonally adjusted Milwaukee Report on Business dipped to 60.6 in June from 63.5 in May, the Institute for Supply Management-Milwaukee reported Monday.
New orders received declined to 60.3 from 70.8, production fell to 59.3 from 69.6, employment increased to 60.5 from 59.9, supplier deliveries slid to 61.0 from 62.4, and backlog of orders dropped to 58.8 from 59.5.
Inventory levels climbed to 61.8 from 54.8, customers' inventories decreased to 31.3 from 45.0, prices rose to 61.8 from 59.5, exports gained to 53.9 from 50.0 and imports rose to 57.1 from 56.7.
The blue collar diffusion index dipped to 59.8 from 59.9, while the white collar diffusion index fell to 51.2 from 53.0.
