Kaplan Calls for Patience on Rate Hikes

Signs of slower growth and worrisome global finances prompted Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Robert Kaplan to suggest the Fed be "patient" about hiking interest rates, according to published reports.

"This is a time for patience and analysis and really assessing data, because there has been some slowing," Kaplan told reporters following a speech in Dallas. "There are certain times where it's wise to be patient."
