About 4,797,000 online job postings appeared on leading internet job boards in December, an increase of 74,000 from November, the Conference Board reported Wednesday.
"The [Help Wanted OnLine] series ended 2016 on a positive note, with a 74,000 increase," said Gad Levanon, chief economist, North America at the Conference Board. "The number of online job ads has been fluctuating around a steady trend in the second half of 2016."
In the U.S. there were 1.36 ads per 100 people, up from 1.33 in November.
