Initial Jobless Claims Dip 2,000 to 326,000 in Week Ended Jan. 11

Initial jobless claims dropped 2,000 to 326,000 in the week ended January 11, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Claims for the week ended January 4 were revised down to 328,000 from the initially reported 330,000.

Continuing jobless claims were 3.030 million in the week ended January 4, up from the downwardly revised 2.856 million the week before, first reported as 2.865 million.

The four-week average of initial claims fell 13,500 in the week ended January 11 to 335,000.
