Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term rating to AA-plus from AA on Hobart Village, Wis.'s existing general obligation debt.
The outlook is stable.
"The raised rating reflects our view of the village's strengthened economy," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Michael Furla. "The rating further reflects our view of the village's very strong budgetary flexibility and liquidity."
Hobart Village's economy is seen as very strong with access to the broad and diverse economy of Green Bay, which the village is adjacent to on Green Bay's western border.
